      <description><![CDATA[S-1135 Series, developed using the CMOS technology, is a positive voltage regulator IC which has the low dropout voltage, the high-accuracy output voltage and the low current consumption (300 mA output current).
A 1.0 µF small ceramic capacitor can be used. It operates with low current consumption of 45 µA typ.
The overcurrent protection circuit prevents the load current from exceeding the capacitance of output transistor. The power-off circuit ensures longer battery life.
Various capacitors, also small ceramic capacitors, can be used for this IC more than for the conventional regulator ICs which have CMOS technology.
Furthermore a small SOT-89-5, SOT-23-5, and HSNT-6A packages realize high-density mounting. ]]></description>

Users are able to use a small ceramic capacitor of 1.0 µF for this IC. This IC includes two regulator circuits with ±1.0% high-accuracy output voltage in the super-small HSNT-6A package.

The ground-breaking S-25A EEPROMs set industry performance records by achieving 500,000 writes at 125ºC, and up to 50 year data retention.

Today's automobile designs increasingly require higher performance EEPROMs in on-board systems that control the car's operation, fuel consumption, and ensure the passenger's comfort and safety. Along with the requirement for increased EEPROM capacity, automotive applications also require extremely high reliability and security. The SII S-25A series was developed to specifically answer the needs of the automotive market.

While conventional EEPROMs typically have significantly degraded write performance at high temperature, the S-25A series assures performance of up to 500, 000 writes at 125ºC, and 1,000,000 writes at 85ºC, along with retention of the EEPROM data for as long as 50 years.]]></description>

The S-8426A Series is a CMOS IC designed for use in the switching circuits of primary and backup power supplies on a single chip. It consists of two voltage regulators, three voltage detectors, a power supply switch and its controller, as well as other functions.
In addition to the switching function between the primary and backup power supply, the S-8426A Series can provide the micro controllers with three types of voltage detection output signals corresponding to the power supply voltage.
Moreover adopting a special sequence for switch control enables the effective use of the backup power supply, making this IC ideal for configuring a backup system.

FET built-in Synchronous Step-down switching regulator "S-8550/8551 series"  
 
Seiko Instruments Inc. is set to release a new step-down synchronous PWM- control switching regulator with built in FET. The new S-8550/8551 Series with it's ultra-small size is optimized for use in portable equipment..  
 
 Step-down switching regulators can efficiently regulate the high voltage of a battery to lower voltages required by different components within portable electronic equipment. This is achieved through PWM-control by storing the electric charge generated in the circuits' coil after repeating ON and OFF switch of the capacitor. For example, the battery voltage of 3.6V (one lithium ion battery) can be stepped down to 1.8V or 2.5V with high efficiency for use in mobile phones, GPS, and other battery operated equipment. 
The demand for miniaturization, low current consumption, and high efficiency is increasing in order to support the power requirements of cellular phones, MP3 players, and other battery operated equipment. Even if the load current changes rapidly, the output voltage must respond at high speed (high-speed load response characteristic) to assure a stable power supply. As the miniaturization of consumer products increases, the need for decreasing the number of external components in a circuit is of high importance. 
In order to satisfy such demands, SII developed the "S-8550/8551 series."
